Dynatwist probs

Hi Bill. I took my filter apart today to give its a good clean and noticed that the green mesh that holds he actual filter material together was getting very rusty in loads of places and on further inspection noticed my Maf was covered in the green paint that had flaked off the rusty parts

Can you recommend the best cure for this? i'd hate to muck up yet another maf with bits flying into it. Are replacement elemnts available?

Cheers
Mark

That does'nt sound good.
How old is the filter?
Replacement filters should be available, although I have never had to get one from Green. Depending on the age of the filter I would try a warranty claim back to them as rust should not be happening on the mesh.
If you can email me some more details, age of filter, invoice ref etc I will discuss with Green on Monday.

Got it from you about 2yrs back but cars only done about 15k miles in that time. I know water is bound to get in but i would of thought it'd be stainless or at least coated to last.

I can snap a couple of pics if ya like but other than that i have no more details. How are Green with warranties?

The coated wire is their protection, which in this case seems to have been less than protective..

2 years is unlikely to be warranty, but milage is lower than they warrant their filters I think. We can try.

I'll bell them this morning and let you know.

What I need from you:-
If you can send your info, invoice ref (or approx date, name etc so I can find in my records its exact age) by email please to bill@badger5.co.uk and we can see what they say. If you dont ask you dont get, so worth a go.

regards
bill
