Not Holding Boost?

What boost should my car be holding with REVO?

Swapped the boost gauge today for a different one which happens to be in PSI not BAR. Boost shoots straight up to 20psi, then drops quite quickly to around 12psi, this right?

As i'm sure the car was holding boost alot better before today. Feels different too, seems to run out of steam big time at around 5k?

Don't know what a revo'd lc should give you boost wise, but if i feals alot diff after you've fitted a new boost gauge, maybe you have a leak somewhere? make sure all conections are real tight and secure.

What were the 'readings' from the other gauge (BAR) b4 you changed??

12psi = 0.8 Bar
20psi = 1.4 Bar

Cheers

Danny

Maybe on the back of the gauge? or maybe a faulty one?

Maybe worth trying the other one (BAR) back in for a run to see what like.

Cheers

sounds normal to me.
should be up near 20psi at full boost then fairly quickly but smoothly reduce down to about 12 at high revs

Its an Ibiza Cupra, just put the old gauge back in and at 1st it was still doing the same thing ie shooting up to just over 1.5bar then dropping quite rapidly to around 0.8bar But after driving 30mins it seems ok. So maybe the gauge was at fault i don't know.

Seems to be holding between 1.0/1.5bar now in 3rd 4th & 5th. Drops off quite quiclkly in 1st & 2nd though, but thats normal right?
