Its insurance time for me again

so I thought maybe some of you could help me get some decent quotes via recommendation to make the tinterwebbing less of a chore

So if you're close to my person spec below and dont mind telling me who you're insured with and how much it cost, it'd be a good starting point.

So me:

Over 10 years no claims
No accidents or convictions in last 5 years
own house
garaged
13k ish a year
full time employment
Business use
protected no claims
legal cover
cuddly toy
fondu set etc

Me: 24 years old, zero no claims, live at home, full time administrative employment, 10k a year, guaranteed hire car, 55 plate FR TDi 150, garaged in quite nice area, £250 (I think) excess.

Best quote and what I went for: £450 from Direct Line (my Dad insures with them which seems to offer a further discount, don't know how much), but I was very very pleased with that. This was from Directline.com

Other quote: £760 from Admiral

Worst quote: £1850 from HSBC (as an existing customer who might be entitled to a special deal!). This was because they were interested in claims in the last five years, Direct Line only the last three, and I had a major accident just over three years ago. My Leon is perhaps my present to celebrate this anniversary after driving a 1.1 Metro since writing off my Mini!
