Spare Key

I've got an uncut switchblade key for my LCR to use as a spare key (I've delocked so the standard spare key is no good for getting into the car).

Is it possible to train two remote keys into the car? I'm a bit worried that if I train in my new one the original switchblade key will become untrained.

I've seen two methods of training keys around. One involving key in ignition, and pressing one button 3 times whilst holding the other, and one with the key in the door. Which method do I need to use? Is it a case of using one method for the immobiliser and one for the alarm and lock/unlock?

It'd be nice to know if it's possible before I get the new key cut
