Boost Gauge, DV, FPR or green nipple?

Hello

I am just about to buy a X reg Seat ibiza Cupra 1.8 Turbo that has been treated to a Jabbaport remap (199.9bhp). The first modification I will be making is fitting Autometer Phantom Oil temp and boost gauges.
After reading various boost gauge fitting articles on this website, can someone please tell me the best point to take my boost readings from, top of DV, off the FPR or the green nipple on the side of the engine??

Many thanks

i tried mine on the green nipple but had to change it to the dump valve as it was bouncing all over the place.

i think you just have to try it and see what happens

Thing is from where I tried that green nipple thing, I now have a short piece of blue hose with a screw in the top of it and two tie wraps, it was a bugger to get that thing off, sliced and diced it, so no way it would go back on, I would run off the DV or FPR to be honest mate, but your choice of course

I'd take it off the dump valve personally..

Heres a scenario, you plumb the boost gauge into the FPR and at WOT )wide open throttle) if for some reason your T-Piece for the dump valve comes un done, what will happen?

The FPR thinks you have taken your foot off the throttle, but in reality it's wide open, would it lean out?

Neither.

T-pieced into either vac hoses on the underside of the inlet manifold on the left hand side. Close to the side of entry into the car and replaceable unlike cutting the green nipple.

Do you guys think running it off the FPR is less accurate than the DV then?

I might swap mine about see if I get a smoother reading...
