Unhappy Black seats

The Seats - aren't they a bugger to keep clean and hair free?!

Took my mother's dog in the car the other day. A moulting white Jack Russel - what a nightmare!!

Took me nearly an hour to hoover the car.

I'm dreading having kids when it will not be possible to impose the "no food or drink in the car" ban, with all those chocolate fingers everywhere (it's giving me nightmares even thinking about it! )

It seems daft that you can get the Cupra with Leather, but not the top of the range model.

I can vouch that Kids will throw up when you have cloth seats, but are little darlings when they are Leather. Its a rule of the road

Not an "R", but Tell me about it

Although the std "geometric" upholstery proves quite easy to wipe clean.

Unhappy

Yes it's a bleeding nightmare, i spent almost as long washing the car as i did hoovering the hair out. Cat hair's the worst because it is so short, and sticks in the material pertty well.

As for the Swiffers you suggested, i found them to deteriorate very quickly, and catch on the slightest rough bit of trim. They do smell nice though

Spare a thought for me,

I've got a near white golden retriever who seems to loose hair at the rate of at least one bin liner full a day.

Hoovering that lot up will take the best part of a day.:head:

You must be able to get some seat covers for the car, that cover the entire of the back of the car, floor, windows, roof etc

I think it would be cheaper to just wrap the dog in cling film before I let him in.

Get yourself a wide roll of brown sticky tape, tear off a strip, dab onto seats, etc. Works a treat

You guys with dogs need to get the dog-version of this

You can then hang them from the grab handle, with a poly bag beneath to collect hairs.

KID PUKE

HAve a 2 and 1/2 year old who threw up numerous times while in a new mondeo hire car... (Good form)...

Opted for the leather in the Leon because of this, and he (LUKE) has become the best & most well mannered child in the world.. Had a non eating or drinking curfew in the car which lasted for nearly 6 months - Impressive really as he hasn't dropped anthing in it which cannot be cleaned easily. Just kicks the back of the front passenger seat with dirty shoes which is really annoying. (Black leather shows dirt up very easily).

Aaaarghhh..

Tell you what the Electric Leather seats are a pain sometimes, when I take out my daughters seat, I normally have to adjust the passenger seat (don't like my daughters shoes on the back of the passenger seat either) and it takes ages to electrically adjust them.

My tip to get out sick and food out it to use baby wipes, they clean sick/food up really well out of carpets etc..

Bazzer,

My child has a natural talent. I would laugh louder but the thought of it all nearly made me puke. Cant handle that sort of thing at all.

There is no excuse for taste though!!!

Sorry

Apologies,

But a plastic dust sheet and air freshner in the back might do the trick...
(I'll get me coat).

One of mine puked everywhere once, ready brek puke dripping thru the seat, in the buckles, in the straps, on the back seat, clothes and shoes.

Stuff that you have to look forward to....

5 mins after reading-still laughing!
Syphon- I can't beleive you let a dog into the back of your new car- I have trouble with humans.
Also re kids kicking backs of seats I just make sure I take them off before heading off- therefore no crap etc on seat back-sorted!
