Bluetooth allows wireless communication between mobile devices meaning you can wirelessly connect your phone to your car and operate it via the steering wheel controls or voice recognition - without taking your hands off the wheel! Taking lifestyle seriously also means keeping up with technologies that make our lives easier.
The SEAT Bluetooth pack includes: Handsfree phone connection with steering wheel mounted controls and an MP3 compatible CD player. OK mate, just replying to a few threads, thought if I posted, would put alot of peoples mind at rest. Bluetooth is an easy option to sell - providing you have checked compatability etc, otherwise you going to have alot of upset people!

Does anyone know if there will be any way in the future to update the Seat bluetooth system? For example as new phones are introduced, will they update the system to be compatible with the new models? I have just switched to a Nokia E61 and whilst it happily connects to the car to make and receive calls, the phone book does not appear on the dashboard (which it did with my old 6310i).

You need to upgrade your N80 to the latest firmware, it will then connect properly and not drop every 30 seconds. It still doesn't help with the phone book problem though :-( HTH Tree Hugger |

There's going to be a lot of unlisted that do, don't or are part successful or need firmware updates. So far I've used two HTC phones on it branded as the Orange SPV C500 & M3100. C500 (Typhoon) worked on voice commands nicely but didn't give access to the menu driven phonebook. M3100 (Hermes) works in all disciplines but has a few quirks to do with power modes and I think if it's left long enough the phone will stop responding (with a memory leak) and need a reset - may be firmware related.
Edit: Memory leak was nothing to do with the phone firmware - found a dodgy application that was leaking the memory. Can now work for a prolonged amount of time. The power state issue may still be a firmware item though, but there are new firmwares on the way that may resolve that. Last edited by Pyranwolf; 01-02-2007 at 20:10. Reason: Updated information |

Apparently the SE K800i does great when you turn off power save as otherwise it device hunts and disconnects
