YourRacingCar.com give fans Moore for their money

YourRacingCar.com felt a mighty force of support from the SEATCupra.net forum members in 2009 when it launched its fan sponsored race team competing in the Michelin Ginetta G50 Cup on the British Touring Car Championship series. With the SEAT Barmy Army left wondering which of the SEAT Toledos and Leons would turn up to each race weekend, they had one team they knew would be there come hell or high water. Ok, so it’s not a SEAT but it’s British through and through and with a unique insight into the sport offered by the YRC crew, getting behind a Ginetta G50 wasn’t too much of a stretch of loyalties for the SEAT Barmy Army!

So what next? The YRC crew stunned motorsport aficionados and pundits alike just a few weeks ago by announcing that next year not only would they grow their little outfit to a two car line-up but with a champion driver to boot. Sarah Moore joins YRC to take up her seat in the all new Ginetta G40 which races alongside the G50 on the BTCC package. As the reigning Ginetta Junior Champion she joins the crew with some serious responsibility on her shoulders. Taking on the YRC fan members expectations. Sarah’s attracted a lot of attention and the YRC crew are hoping that this will help with the recruitment of new members to the YourRacingCar club.

Monday 23rd November sees the announcement by the BBC of the final three contenders from the shortlist of nominees for the Young Sports Personality of the Year. All hopes are with Sarah for Monday  as having made it to the top ten, it would be not only a huge achievement but a real boost for YRC to see her take a podium position in the competition.

Joining YRC for 2010 means that each fan now sees their picture and name on the Ginetta G40 Junior Championship. There’s no trust fund involved in this racing team – it really is funded by the fans and 2010 promises to be a brilliant year for the crew.

And what of the G50? Well, the YRC Innovation Centre went on overdrive and came up with another membership based offering to fund Fulvio in the G50 Cup this coming season.  The Guerrilla Marketing Club (GMC) is a networking club for small and medium sized businesses. Based on the same principle as the YRC members club, GMC offers members serious value for money. With exposure on the G50 race car, exclusive trackside hospitality at the races and the chance to interact with lots of like-minded, cost conscious businesses, a £1500 sponsorship is a tasty toe in the water for companies looking to do something different with their marketing budget!

Speaking about SEATCupra.net’s involvement this season Hannah, YRC Team Principle said “We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the SCN Barmy Army this year. They made us feel so much like a team – there’s nothing quite like knowing you’ve got an audience trackside and that someone’s gunning for you”.

All-comers are welcome at YRC . Whether you’re a trackside regular, a couch pundit or you’ve never been into racing before, YourRacingCar.com offers something for everyone. A ‘Junior’ membership has been added to the offering for this season and the first race of the season comes with a mega YRC benefit of cut price tickets for Thruxton BTCC. Join at www.YourRacingCar.com to show your support for this fan funded team.
