Times approaching for the first service rang the local dealer £250, passing a VW
dealer so i popped in to get a price for there 10k service, told them what car i got
and the price is..........................£171.20 !!! :funk:

Didn't expect it to be cheaper but nearly a £80 saving and IMHO will get a better
service all round can't be bad.

Hi

Our website is www.amdessex.com and we are still in the same place we have always been. BBT was sold on to a company in Brighton in December but that was mainly for the older vehicles.

1st service on your FR would be £100+vat. The REVO map for your car would give you 185bhp and costs £499+vat. We also can remap your car with AmD software which gives similiar gains but, purposely, not as punchy at the bottom end. The AmD remap is £449inc vat.

Any queries please give me a call.

Cheers Shaun.

my dealers gave me a price list for service when i bought my car, and they quote the first service at 165+vat.

to spurs mad dave, does a remap only give 15 extra bhp, as i thought all fr's where 170 to start with.
jabbasport claim 209 on there remap's

Bristol Seat have quoted £206.00 inc vat for the 20k [19.2k] service - don't know how that compares??

I paid £152.40 last week for a first service.

Price included a new front number plate and this is a list of parts used

Oilfilter
Washer
Super Lube
Cleaner
Screw
No Plate Acrylic
Front Reflector
1LCastrol Lo
BR&CL Cleane
5LTrquantuml
FR Keyring

Most of that list doesn't mean much to me (apart from the keyring!) - I just know they've all got a part number and a price - £1.08 plus VAT for a screw?????

Was that at a main Dealer? Is your FR Petrol or Diesel?

It's amazing how Dealer prices vary from North to South.... Almost worth having a weekend away and getting the car done while im up there!

Lol - They're nice people to deal with. I keep meaning to do a write-up about them in the Dealer Network Section, but I don't like tempting fate.................

I got a service package - 3 services for £375... But its normally £150 for the 10k, £250 for 20k, £150 for 30k.

You can take these out right up till the day of the service.

I don't think I'll ever go to a main dealer again for servicing, I've found a good local garage that use genuine parts etc......... so far on the 10k and 20k services I've saved £150 on main dealer prices. I was always scared about moving away from the main dealers but once you do it you'll never go back.

Price examples - 1st Service £140, I paid £65, second service £200, I paid £125. I've got a FR diesel.

i'm getting charged £148 for first service in FR TDI from an audi/vw express fit workshop. had my previous seat's serviced there. They basically a vw service centre without the showroom. Service is great. got quoted about £80 from an independant.
don't ask me why i didn't go there. just wasn't too convinced.

Does this not invalidate the warranty tho?

As far as I know it wont affect the warranty as long as they use genuine parts for the service.

I could be wrong though.

Si

I've not tried it, but that's what I'm led to believe.

One thing you could lose is any goodwill from SEAT. I've had a goodwill gestures before from a manufacturer when the car was out of warranty but the radiator was leaking and the spotted this at the service. The manufacturer agreed to pay 75% of the cost of replacement.

I took out the SEAT service only plan. Costing me £540 for the first 4 services/42,000miles and brake fluid change. Best of all it is interest free over 3 years... ie £15 month.
