What are the differences between the lcr and the lc suspension set ups and are they a straight swop to an lc without any major issues?

No, the LCR setup is better, but by the time you've changed the struts, hubs, ARB you need to know why you're changing the parts

the Lc's setup is good as standard, the lcr's is refined and more track orientated,

unless youre really trcking it you'll struggle to push the lc's setup,

I don't think you can say that anything base on the Mk4 Golf from 1999 is 'good'

adequate :)

id come from a 5 door fiat stilo, so the mk4 platform seems mile ahead ;)

ive never found it catch me out, but maybe it could give better feedback

This will now become the new standard measurement for a cars handling ability:

Is it better than a 5 door fiat stilo?

Standard handling on a LC is no more than acceptable.

Will we measure it in Stilo's?

Like a new unit?

ie "My Integra handles to the power of 3 stilo"

30th August 2010.

the day the scientifically developed measurement known as the 'stilo' was born.

LOL @ your sig

Power = 3 stilo . . . . . . . . Handling = 3 stilo
Looks = 4 stilo . . . . . . . . Driver = :censored:
How many Stilo do you have?

The shocks are a straight swap, without needing any other mods.

So a straight swap with LCR springs and dampers would fit ok? Would lower the car slightly over the standard LC springs and dampers and would firm up the ride also?

Yes it fits fine, it would be a bout 11mm lower iirc and yes its firmer, its worth it if you can pick up a set and get fitted cheaply, definitely better than just putting after market springs on.
