Bare with me on this one and it sounds chavy as fook but.......

I have a mate who works for BMW and his demo car when unlocked has LED's that light up from the door handle vertically down the car.

Quite subtle and looks cool, how easy would something like this be to do.

Im guessing drill holes in the door handles then wire the LEDS upto the central locking so when unlocked they light up but go dim again like the interior light

Something like this.....

My Mums Ford Kuga and my Dads Peugeot 308CC BOTH have this funtion aswell when the car is unlocked and when the door is opened.

I think its more of a "Oooohhh look at that" from passers by that, Feature.

Yeah, would be pretty simple to do really.

As you said, remove the door handles, fit some ultrabright LED's then wire them to the interior light.

The interior light comes on when you unlock, and also when you take the key out the ignition.

Give it a try!

had the idea years ago of lining some up in the door on the edge of the glass

the optic effect would light up the frosted top edge of the glass when it was open and make anf frosted/engraving to the glass glow too :):)

never did test it though :(

i think they would look better if they were pointing into the dip where the handle is (so LED in back of handle) cos that bmw looks a bit like it has torches hanging from the handles! :p !
