Seat Ibiza 6J with Cupra/Boc Bodykit

Hello guys,

As you can see i am brand new to this forum but will sure be using it alot from now on as i am looking to buy my first car.

Im 17 years old an ive just passed my driving test, ive been looking at the new model seats now for a while because of the slick sporty design topped off with a low insurance group. I am looking to buy a MK5-6J aged around 2009-2011, 1.6 TDI which LV will happily insure me for £1,500 which does not seem bad at all considering i have only just passed and this to be my first ride.

Ive always been impressed by the Cupra/Bocanegra bodywork since it was released but unfortunatly insurance companies dont like to insure 17 year old on veichles with 180BHP, cant see why... But my main question here is.. Is there anyway of swapping out say, the rear and front bumper between the two models? Is it an easy job or will it take much more work doing to it? (including the replacement exhaust system i am guessing its not an easy plug and play job?)

If it is a not so skilled job, does anybody have any suggestions on where ou are able to purchase this kit?

The £1,500 quote was for the 1.6 TDI model. Yes you are right, they wont insure me on a 180BHP beast.

Both wrong. Insurance on the 180bhp Cupra is silly cheap, particularly through the Admiral group. Loads of people on here have them, I'd recommend getting a quote you'll be surprised.

Ive heard that from a few people now so did look for a quote through admiral, including multicar, but wont even offer me a quote:/

As for the original question, it is technically possible to get the bodykit seperaetely but it will cost loads and won't be an easy job, and when you sell the car on it won't add any value. You'd also have to declare the modification to your insurance company anyway which will push the price up.

even if you can get insured i wouldn't you are 17 you cannot drive yet, give it some time in the low power before hopping into a hot hatch.

I think going sensible with the 1.6tdi is the way to go, and the front bumper will fit but not the rear everything else is aftermarket and fits all cars
