What you putting in the search box.. cant find anything other than mark 5/6 panels :wtf:

I've searched :censored: loads of different things tbh, but just now I found it when I searched 'leon climate control'.

The only thing I can suggest is that you keep searching that and sorting by 'newly listed'.

Cheers mate, when I bought the RNS facia I gave David at Sere my VIN and he just matched it for me. Would be nice if it comes the in the correct colour!

Yeah.. but that could be where the difficult job starts. The silver/pearl color used on the FR & Cupra pre facelift models is not available anymore on the new facelift model. They got new interior codes, like black, the matt aluminium look you see on most FR/Cupra models and the 3rd is the one i got. I think its called black/silver galena.

Basically this means its hard to get a new style climate control fascia surrounding in the old colors used on the Pre-FL model because they didnt ever make it in this color.

Oh right, I see what you mean.
Did you have to get the rns fascia and cluster surround to match the climate control facia instead then?

Fitted mine today :D

I think I'd like to change the grey fascias to piano black to match the RNS and Climate Control, and then change the plastic around the dials to white. Just a thought!

Did you have to change any wires around in the back when fitting the facelift unit? Or change any coding in VCDS? Because the facelift unit is always off when I turn the car back on.

Yes mate.. i had to change one wire and gonna help you out right now ;)

I wrote this down in a document:
Climatronic Wiring
On A Connector (black) extract both; Pin 16 and Pin 20 and put Pin 16 on the place were Pin 20 was, leave the wire on Pin 20 loose (not connected to the harrnes) for later connect the Air Quality Sensor if needed.

If you have an older VW Model you will need this wiring change:
Motors in parallel:
On C Connector (brown): Pin 7 connected to Pin 10 and Pin 8 connected to Pin 9
On B Connector (black): Pin 6 to Pin 7

I red somewhere that you had a 56 plate car.. so you might have to change all 3 wires but i should try my luck first on only first one. That worked for me!
Your climate control is on off every time you start up the car because the pin 16 is a memory current to keep the settings on the climate control unit.

Good luck!

Thanks for your help! I think its all sorted now :D Not entirely sure if Block C, Pins 9 and 10 are the right way around but it seems ok for now.

I found out the hard way by getting the Climatronic pinouts off ElsaWIN before reading your post.

Nice job, but in the future I think the better to use climate control from VW VI include heat seats. Picture from my friend’s car 1P Cupra MY 2009.

Hmm i think they are roughly the same units... only different panel. The button lay-out is also placed in same way... Are heated seats available for the Cupra seats? Maybe build them in aftermarket.

Have you considered buying the panel new? If i already have heated seats like you have i would consider price up to 125/140 pounds i think. I think the Leon panel with gloss black suits the interior way more than the squared mk6 panel.

Yes.. or ask Dave from SERE... I dont know him because i live in Holland but heard alot of positive comments about him. Only thing you need is a willing dealer with ETKA and a reg plate from a FL Leon. That way should bring all the available units there are for the car. Then pick the one with heated seats, most of the time the difference in part number is the last letter.

I can help you out by dismounting my dash and look up the part number on the back but prefer not to do this at this point  There are alot of members with a proper ETKA, and since i posted the pics of conversion there are some guys who recently did the same.. Hope someone wrote the part number down?!

No, no dont dismantle your dash again i will get there eventually thers a seat dealer opposite my house so i will go in and find out, might be abit tricky to wire the seats up aswell since the originals were not heated
