There's not much to them. Undo the rear bolt and nut, undo the front bolt, disconnect the anti roll bar if necessary, either split the ball joint from the hub or unbolt it from the wishbone, replace necessary parts and put it back together again.

I'd recommend soaking all bolts in plusgas the night before, and you will need a breaker bar and some decent sockets.

As above but be warned! Sometimes the nut inside the subframe comes off and then you have to cut a hole in you're subframe to weld it back on then repair the hole and fill and seal!
Check it out!

Cutting!
Then the nice hole!

So don't worry if it happens! You just weld the nut onto the inside again! I welded in a bit of metal after then filled and smoothed then sprayed it!

replacing both as i got a bit of a deal, no play in them jus perished on lower wishbone, still not sure if there the culprate for the knocking noise im getting as it sounds to gentle to be the suspension, i thought it was something loose behind the door card first but nothing loose, just still not convinced its the wishbone

So much easier to unto the 3 bolts and leave the ball joint in!

Totally agree, but one of the posts mentioned possibly changing the ball joint as well so it could go either way. Personally I'm with you, if the ball joint is fine I'd leave well alone!! :D

You do need to mark the position of the bolts and or plate to make sure you don't lose the camber setting, but those three bolts are infinitely easier than removing the ball joint.
