stroker kits

evening all,

i just been thinkng (now i got a headache lol)

what would be the best way to make a stroker kit up, and where would people recommend getting it from, im looking at 2008cc kit maybe, i dont really know tbh im not to clued up on this as its something i just considered, as i will be doing everything else might as well do that yo. because im guessing that you'll be hard pushed for 450hp+ on the 1.8t

You can get ready made kits, your best bet is to talk to JamesL or Ronin225 as they have both bought them, James has fitted his, although i think he bought his crank separately from the rods and pistons.

Might be a silly question does the block need boring out, or does the crank make up the extra?

Yes the pistons ore bigger hence making it 2008cc so it will need a rebore.

That i don't know, but it will certainly help, iirc JamesL got 500lbft of torque from his not sure on the BHP, that was with a GT2871RS but i understand the turbo went bang and he is now fitting a new turbo.

I've got a 2008cc stroker. I run 83mm mahle powerpak pistons, 144x20 rods, and a 2.0 tfsi crank. Check out my RR for more info. I've got a HTA gt3071r tial which makes 470bhp / 390lbft at 28psi. Capable of more but I want progressive power. Never blown mine up (I would cry if I did)

I may have you confused with someone else, regarding the turbo, come to think of it i think it was Dan, who's GT gave up, but i knew you had the stroker.
