are there any other intercoolers out there apart from the £670 forge ones is there somthing a little bit cheaper ?

Bear in mind that the polo/fabia have a different IC to the ibiza so unless Pace have developed another one for the ibiza since I think your stuck with stock.
At the OP I remember two guys on here identical cars, remaps, exhausts had a go against each other @ GTI International. One of the guys had an uprated cooler the other was stock.
Both cars made 5.6second launches so very comparable yet the one with the IC pulled away a fair amount once they were in 3rd gear......no coincidence I think...
Then later blew its engine
Nothing to do with the intercooler. Everything to do with the remap.
Not totally true, I'm sure both are "to blame" so to speak. Imagine fitting a massive turbo on an engine witg a small intercooler. You could say the turbo/mapping blew it up, And you'd be right but if the intercooler was big enough to cope it might not have happened, or happened as quick.
I know I have a mk4, but check out my thread.....spent £260 on my intercooler including ALL pipes....and its far better than forge's crap.
i had a look at a different forum and it looks like you have to take your car to them and they custom make it for your car they do a IC and radiator combo for less then a grand and drops the temp of the engine by at least 30-40c
My early (Oct 2009) Cupra came with weak pistons, faulty injectors and the wrong sparkplugs, + a over-rich cold start map = blown engine. Thanks SEAT. Plenty of standard engines have failed, but only I have had to pay for a rebuild, so I got a proper job done. I believe I will match my best time again in the right conditions.
Pace polo/fabia fit I no because I purchased Hurdys
I stand corrected. Only said this because the Polo and Fabia have different part numbers to the ibiza.
Similarly Forge have only just developed the Fabia and Polo IC whereas the ibiza was released ages ago. Maybe the Pace fits because it includes the radiator as well
It's onto a standard radiator mate. I'm after just the intercooler aswell but as said before they come as a package.
