How much is my car worth?

Evening guys, thinking of selling my car and just wondered what everyone thinks it's worth. It's a 2007 seat ibiza 1.9 tdi fr in black. It has done 47,000 miles and got full seat service history. 4 new tyres and recently had new rear discs and pads and brake fluid changed. What should I be looking for, I would like to think a fair bit over £5k

Whatever someone is willing to pay, there are a number on the trader for around 5k with similar mileage, sounds a lot to me and I wouldn't pay 5k for one but I guess I'm not your target market :)

I bought mine last may with 55k on the clock, years mot and 6 months tax, paid £5k - mines 06 (so was less than 6 years old) full service history and one previous owner.
My OH was looking at them funnily enough yesterday and saying how prices haven't really dropped, joys of diesels I guess! So basically yeh take a look on ebay and see what others are going for, pretty sure late mk4 FRs with low miles were going for up to £7k :)

No way anyone of sound mind would pay 7 grand for an 06 plate fr regardless of miles covered, they'll drop in price quickly or just won't sell.

Even on an 08 £7k is far too much imo, they may be up for sale at that price but if they don't sell you may as well have them on for 20k, the car just isn't worth that much anymore.

It's never easy to give a price on a car that you've not seen but I agree on using the trader as a guide, just not to get too carried away and be realistic about what your car is worth more than what you'd like for it, easier said than done.
