The Terms and Conditions do only say 3 Months and then it's off! It's bullshit though tbh, this one doesn't even plug into the engine.. It justs plugs into the 12 volt (Which means my cubby hole on the dashboard is now completely gone). I'm guessing it just uses GPS and Gforce Sensors... But it definitely does say only three months!
But the T + C's say that you can drive like an idiot but don't expect a discount, and if I stay with them next year my premiums will go up... However, anything under 100mph is ooookay? They'll still be pissed but just not pissed enough to cancel my policy!
These are some images of a little photo day me and a couple of mates did.. Sorry for the difference in quality, some ofthem were on my phone and others on an iphone! But they have a Mini Cooper S (Catback, Lowered, towbar, Sprayed Wheels) and a Golf GT 1.4.. Amazing little engine, 1.4 but twincharged and nearly keep up with mine!
Why would anything up to 100mph be ok that's still speeding. From what I see it's on for the year they may review it in 3 month intervals but they wont be tacking that out after 3 months and saying crack on. You need to upload tbem to photobucket and copy the jpeg link.
Good looking car mate! and well done for getting 1 at an early age. I got my first LCR when i was 21 and i was paying £700 for insurance but that was on a multicar policy with my rents as named drivers from Admiral. Not sure i would want a black box as the LCR persuades you to be heavy on the right foot. Getting upto 70 is way too quick!
Ahh cheers bud! Yeah My parents are named drivers, but dad's got 3 points and a claim!:/ It would have been 1650 if his record was clean! But what can you do? Without him on the policy it would have still been 2.5k:'( so the lesser of the two evils I guess.. But yeah it is ready to go haha!
So let me guess this right'ish.
Car 3-4k? Trade in 1.5k, Insurance 2.5k? Tax £285! Mot let's say £50 Fuel umm... £40 per week? upkeep??? Well Im around 400+ per year. Now I've guesstimated that I'm just getting on my knees looking to the skies wondering how people can do that! For 17 mate thats nuts but awesome, Enjoy it mate, seems like your mates have gone for gold also
Insurance was 2k But About the petrol and upkeep, I get a student loan as I'm at uni which is about 1k a term so that's from here till Christmas.. That mostly covers the petrol costs, and the servicing/next years Insurance comes out of my wages. I live a little conservatively now but it's worth it!
