Hi, I have a leon mk2 2008 2.0 tfsi 197bhp DSG.
I have been having poor starting and rough idling and fuel consumption is getting worse. I've heard pcv can be a cause and apparently you can check by taking off your oil cap off, I done that and the car cuts out in seconds is that an indication that its failing or is it working fine?
Thanks

Pretty good indication something is wrong.

Would start by changing the PCV and diverter valve (if not already done).
I haven't changed them, but will definitely try them thanks,
should the engine be running still when the cap has been taken off and has a bit suction on the oil cap too not strong suction but has a bit of a pull on it
