  1. Efficiency- who needs a diesel?

I've just been down south, and averaged 57.5 mpg over the tank. Very impressed.
  2. Interior plastics

The Xcellence gets leatherette on the door cards, at least in the front. Can't remember what's in the back. The FR and Xcellence models also get a padded leatherette insert in the dash. Earlier cars and the SE trim have glossy black or matte grey plastic. The lack of squidgy top to the dash...
  3. SEAT is launching a 1.5 TSI 7-speed DSG Ibiza

You can get the 1.5 TSI with a DSG in the A1. But yes. I certainly would like a 1.5 TSI in a small VAG car with a manual!
  4. Leon 1.5 FR help

I believe they're never illuminated- something to do with the IR sensors maybe? Not sure about the lane assist side of things I'm afraid.
  5. Air conditioning effectiveness

The manual A/C I had in my Fabia was a bit weedy too. Probably the same system.
  6. Air conditioning effectiveness

My car has climatronic. Can't say I've had any issues. Keeps the car nice and cool and is more than able to pump out plenty of cold air when getting back to a hot car.
  7. Ibiza 2017 Xcellence problems

It's a very difficult situation and I would be extremely frustrated if I was in your shoes! The difficult thing with an intermittent ground fault is that it is very difficult to find, which is probably why that dealer doesn't want anything to do with it.
  8. Ibiza 2017 Xcellence problems

It's still in the warranty period then- Seat have to fix it. My money is still on a grounding issue somewhere given your electrical issues. My 2019 Xcellence Lux has been absolutely fine apart from some issues with one of the USB sockets, which has seemingly fixed itself, and might have more...
  9. SEAT is launching a 1.5 TSI 7-speed DSG Ibiza

5PS isn't going to make much difference. The 110PS A1 is closer in speed to the 95PS Ibiza, which takes 10.9 seconds to 62, than the 115PS Ibiza. Weird.
  10. SEAT is launching a 1.5 TSI 7-speed DSG Ibiza

There are manual 1.5 TSI Ibizas and A1s out there, it's just that they were pulled from production. I think it must have been some emissions issues, likely that with all the constant changes they've had over the past couple of years, they figured it wasn't worth the effort re-certifying the...
  11. The new SEAT Leon range introduces 4 new trims including FR Sport and XCELLENCE Lux

September! That's a long wait! I thought it was bad waiting from December to March for my Ibiza!
  12. The new SEAT Leon range introduces 4 new trims including FR Sport and XCELLENCE Lux

Well, you did buy a 'run out' car there! You can pick up a run out model of a lot of cars for cheap before the new one is fully available.
  13. The new SEAT Leon range introduces 4 new trims including FR Sport and XCELLENCE Lux

The Mazda 3 is a very competitive option. I'd definitely seriously consider one, although TBH the Leon I'd be looking at is the PHEV, although honestly I think my next car will be a pure EV (likely an ID.3)
  14. The new SEAT Leon range introduces 4 new trims including FR Sport and XCELLENCE Lux

The A3 also has real climate controls, although unfortunately not simple knobs. I think the A3 is the best looking of the bunch, but I do like both the Leon and the Golf. The Golf definitely looks much better in GTI trim though. The only one I've seen so far is in the dealership when I had my...
  15. SEAT is launching a 1.5 TSI 7-speed DSG Ibiza

The Polo does get the 1.5 TSI with a DSG elsewhere in Europe. It's a shame you can't get the 1.5 with a manual. Or the 2.0 for that matter!
  16. Climate control

It's possible, but it would require crazy amounts of work. You'd have to pull the dash out and fit the electronically controlled blend doors, and the system of sensors around the cabin for auto climate to work. You'd be better off changing cars for one with climate control.
  17. Automatic Wipers

The little switch on the top of the wiper stalk adjusts the sensitivity of the wipers too. On cars without auto wipers it adjusts the interval on the intermittent setting.
  18. Ibiza FR 95

I am sure someone's said that the factory rear sensors don't come up on the screen anyway- it's only cars with front and rear that have the screen display.
  19. Ibiza FR 95

I'd definitely recommend the armrest! There was a group buy on here a little while back- I think it was through Listers? Might be worth a search and a call, see if they can do it cheaper than your dealer. Apparently it's super easy to fit. Mine came factory fitted but I fitted the one to my...
  20. Ibiza 2017 Xcellence problems

I've not had any problems with mine at all!
