i had C5 in my old Civic Type R.
The C3 is good but the C% is different league. its the construction i believe.
Where are you located? My fitter in London does all my work He did have a demo car with C5. i'd also go with silk dome tweeters, not the titanium as they can be quite harsh
Seat Sound used the same stock speaker i believe. The addition of a centre speaker and sub makes the difference.
The C5 is a great speaker, but power hungry. You would need an amp to power those more effectively, using a stock head won't work as well. I investigated this myself. However...
I’ve just completed the upgrade to stage 1 Racingline OEM+ ECU and TCU on my 280.
1 word only. PHENOMENAL!!
I can only echo what paddy has said, although I have the DSG. I haven’t driven it enough to comment on the TCU yet, maybe on my trip back from the north tomorrow.
Some photos from VAG Manchester today whist the remap was being loaded.
Was there for a few hours getting everything done.
I believe they are authorised resellers on the forums here.
I can’t fault the service and advice given today.
Can’t wait till I get on track and unleash this new...
I had my stage 1 remap and DSG remap done today at VAG Manchester. Met the team and had a discussion on what I was looking for. They showed me my options and I made a choice.
What a great outfit
Also bought some bits from progressive parts and had them fitted too.
Wow. The performer change...
as per @oldboy - i doubt anyone is going to worry about a mount.
When it comes to selling time - i am not going to bother returning the mount back to stock. too much hassle and the next owner can appreciate a better car.
With a dog one mount or insert, I think it is safe to say that the difference is streets ahead! Initially it feels much more positive. Even though it’s the Revo - only half a mount and the VWR is a 2 piece mount, hence why there is more vibration with that one. Little to no vibration from the Revo.
Well, I got shunted from behind at a roundabout. No visible damage other than a cracked plate. Further inspection shows bumper has moved out of alignment. I am wondering if it’s just a case of reseating it?
