  1. Anyone in S.Wales with VAGCOM to do an ABS bleed?

We've bled the brakes and master cylinder and it's as good as we can get it. Done using an eezibleed, I've read around and pretty sure the mk4 chassis needs abs bleed after servo replacement as air gets into abs pump?
  2. Anyone in S.Wales with VAGCOM to do an ABS bleed?

Thanks I'll post in there now :)
  3. Anyone in S.Wales with VAGCOM to do an ABS bleed?

As above, I urgently need someone with full VAGCOM access to help me to do an ABS bleed as soon as possible. I just replaced the master cylinder and servo but pedal feel is awful and frankly not safe! Any help will be greatly appreciated and I'll throw some money your way too ofc to cover...
  4. Urgent help please! Lost power to brakes!

Just read this thread, did anyone find any solutions? Desperately need the car sorted as soon as possible :( http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=339666
  5. Urgent help please! Lost power to brakes!

I bled my MS, then the front brakes simultaneously, then rear simultaneously and then fronts again. I don't believe there is any problem with regards to bleeding now. I didn't think a damaged MS would be possible either, the causes that were suggested to me by my local quik fit and another...
  6. Urgent help please! Lost power to brakes!

Okay so after taking apart one side once again, I inspected the sliders and where the pad sits. They were a little rusty but in better nick than the old carriers, so pretty much ruled out sliders being the problem. Been reading up online a bit and it sounds like the master cylinder has indeed...

  8. Urgent help please! Lost power to brakes!

Yes the pads are in contact with the disc, but only really when warmed up, when the car has sat for a few hours they are free and the brakes are not sticking. Not sure whether to just check the sliders and where the pad sits now or just to order a new master cylinder?
  9. Urgent help please! Lost power to brakes!

Having said that though, when we fitted the new calipers we didn't need to compress the piston as it slid straight on the disc with the pads. We did bleed it with the eezibleed and then disconnected the eezibleed at the MS. And it was sticking then? So then thinking about that, maybe the master...
  10. Urgent help please! Lost power to brakes!

Ah can't believe I forgot to do that :( I think it was still connected up to the eezibleed and pressurised! So I may as well order an MS then I guess? Are they all the same on the MK4 chassis regardless of engine? Think I'll just order a used one off Ebay as new ones are a bit pricey
  11. Urgent help please! Lost power to brakes!

Thank you to those who posted helpful replies! Okay so a bit of an update! Good news is I have braking, bad news is its too much! And not in a good way lol Basically the MS was bled with an eezibleed, then the front brakes and the rear ones. Loads of air came out to each stage. Pedal feel...
  12. Urgent help please! Lost power to brakes!

Hi, I was changing over my front brakes to the 312mm upgrade on my Leon earlier today and I think air might have gotten into the ABS pump (or that's what google seems to suggest with the symptoms the car is having). The fluid level may have run quite low, I have bled the rear brakes using the...
  13. OEM Aero Wipers from model other than MK4 Golf?

Thanks for your reply Lee! I ordered a set of the wiper arms and blades from a breakers that had an 04 Bora in for scrapping. I just went out to fit them but it didn't go too well! On one of the wiper arms, the part of the arm that goes from the nut on the scuttle to the joint where it bends...
  14. OEM Aero Wipers from model other than MK4 Golf?

Hi guys, Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section but I haven't been on the site in a while! I drive a 1M 55 Leon FR TDi and I currently have some retrofit aero wipers, but I don't like how they aren't flush with the screen. I understand most people buy late model MK4 Golf OEM Aero...
  15. Problems fitting S3 Lower Arm Bar

Hmm it was pretty awkward trying to do it without a ramp! I was trying to do it with the rivnut/bolts attached to the brace. I haven't tried just doing the rivnuts and bolts alone as I thought the tension of the brace held it all in place! (The rivnuts are very loose in the holes, I didn't...
  16. H3 led fogs

Me I decided to go for it as I'd hardly use the fogs, might as well make use of them and make it look nice :P
  17. Problems fitting S3 Lower Arm Bar

I did have a look at the guide on the site, but had a lot of problems fitting it! Never used these god-damn rivnuts before and found them to be a right pain in the a**! This is what I've found on UKMKIVs: "Take the RN (Rivnut) and find a bunch (about 6-8 depending on thickness), and load...
  18. H3 led fogs

 Going home again from Uni next week so I'll have a go at fitting them again along with my new HIDs thanks!
