right ive been very busy messing about with the car, i wanted the top air ventsfree so i can stick in some gauges, as i dont want them on the pillar anymore as i mounted the tweeters in them.
i bought a double din facia but made the double din cage to mount the climate control and the radio cage,
where does that blue wire go again lol
then hacksaw most of the insides out
mount the climate control and radio cage
fit the monitor in and the front facia
then i quickly made a bit to fill in the gap and covered it in suede to match the rest of the interior
now it misses the middle airvents wink*
made for 22 quid

Nice work fella. Have you seen the golf cubby hole insert so you can get? Makes some extra use of the space too:

is it a whole insert? because it looks like the stereo is not wide enough to fill the gap width wise?, is there an infil for the bottom stereo too?
where is it from and how much?

The radio sits in the gap perfectly (the radio cover bit isnbt sitting right on this one as i just had it out) Its the same saize as the gap left, infact i had to trim of some meat to slide the unit in ok.

Looks awesome. Love the a pillar gauges but best location when driving is where yours are. What about the cold mornings though????
theres still the windscreen, side vents and the footwell vents, so there pleanty of heat or AC,
