You might get away with say a new LCR engine mount (if its stiffer than the cupra one, I'm sure 2 seconds on VAG cat would confirm/deny this) for day to day driving instead of buying a full set of mounts just to get the engine one.
BUT I'm sure Issam would be happy;)

My engine mounts ( vibratech) make a good swave of vibration on start up then its not realy noticable , but it def helps with traction.

Yes, it's true.

Don't forget, my gearchange is slightly odd because the cables are stretched over the top of my tip. Finding reverse has always been a bit of an art......

I didn't want to fit a ss that was going to make the problem worse, I was always at risk of a cable end breaking as the side to side was bent.

However, Hootch drew my attention to the Dieselgeek set the other day and it seemed to be ideal for what I needed, completely replacing the cable ends.

I have f****d about all day trying to adjust it, but I now have it set up perfectly. ( had to keep removing my charge pipe to get at it.) Reverse is precise and the reduction in throw both ways is dramatic. Best of all, the wooliness has gone and it is now like throwing a switch.

I bought direct from Dieselgeek online last Saturday - and they were delivered from the states on Tuesday. Pleasure to deal with -they even refunded some postage to me.

Dave, does this mean your cables are now going under your tip or just in a better position above it?

No, still going over the tip using my custom bracket Phil. The Dieselgeek 'ends' help hold the cables straighter. Height was never a problem with the side-side, just the awkward angle. It's slightly stiffer in action, but I'll put that down to less levereage from the short shifter.

I did my commute with it this morning and a damn good thrashing confirms how much difference the track density mounts make to handling. Before this though, the car could feel like a docile smooth standard car when driven gently. The mounts have ended that...

Does it make a noticeable difference to the handling and stability of the car and is it as noticeable as a dog bone mount upgrade.

I dont know if it was me getting used to the vibration or it got "softer" but i notice mine less nowadays.
