Just popped on to say sad times Dave :( It killed be breaking mine... But it was the right thing to do :) Hope it all goes smoothly.

I also think you should put the engine in the KiWi, but then would you not get another daily? Then be in the same situation you are in now?

Hello matey. I ve been looking at a full stainless exhaust system for my car and I just want to know if you could clarify something for me. You ve said you fitted a 100 cell CAT. How does this affect your emissions? does the engine management light come on? I ve got a de-cat at the moment, but was hoping to cure the engine management light being on by installing a 100 or 200 cell cat? will this work?
Thanks

I hope Dave won't mind me responding to your post. It would be cheaper to have a Stage 2 remap on the car. This will map out the second (post cat) lambda sensor and in doing so, it'll stop your EML from illuminating. Fitting a 100 or 200 cell cat will have the same effect but more cost and less power. 100 and 200 cell sports cats are fine for MOT emissions.

Did you keep your factory cat for MOT time? You won't pass without it.

Cheers for the reply, I was sold the car without the CAT. I have a mate with an MOT garage so it always gets through, Its just I work offshore and drive the car to Aberdeen and I d noticed they d been doing spot checks. Dont fancy getting a fine thats all. How much does it cost for a stage 2 remap?

Nearly the end of the un-build thread.

A bare-naked Leon. I hope the pics might be of some use for the lighteners!
