its waiting until next pay day, however a company in Bristol quoted me 180 inc taking the tyres of etc etc :) seen their work too so im going through them. + shall put a new set of tyres on when the refurb happens as the rear two arent in the best of nick (cracked sidewalls & a nail in one ) and the front two tyres are crap in the wet.

Haven't had chance to email them yet, will do tomorrow.

Slight issue with the car though - everytime i reverse and turn and then brake it sounds like I'm going over a stone - every time I reverse it makes the same noise. Could it be air in the brake system after the new set of discs and pads?? It's not the alloys as it did it before.

You don't get air in your brakes by changing disks and pads. It's a simple job that requires nothing to be removed that could cause air to enter the system, also the noise your getting is probably due to dirt/grit. You would end up with a soft brake pedal and a huge stopping distance if you had air in the system, this is due to air bin compressible where as brake fluid is not.
I'd be careful about powder coating your wheels too, the alloy can end up cracking and then collapsing whilst driving and thats the last thing you want when doing 70mph. Your best sticking with a refurb'!

going to get some of the plastic dip soon :) looks like i could mess around with it & thing is though ive heard lots of negative things about respraying but also negative things about powdercoating.

the rims are badly curbed but also have flaking paint & laquer, along with melted...yes melted brake dust!! whoever had these wheels before is a disgrace.....would hate to see the car they came off!!!

ok so have a mate with a skoda vrs on lowering springs...end of the month time he is going to get coilovers and after going to a VW Fest today we pretty much agreed i can have his old suspension. Now i know the fabias are the same car underneath as the ibiza & the polo, but just want to be sure - will the vrs suspension (shocks etc) fit on my lil 1.2 bezza?

Looks sweet mate. What's the IBIZA plate in the window?

Went to the VWFest & Harewood house last weekend and saw it and thought I'm having that...not everyone's taste but I like it :)

Alloy refurb should happen at the start of September along with painted calumets (and possibly new tyre & plastic dip) however all depends on the monies!!
