Hi all,

Just a quick question, I hadve a Stage one remap on my LCR, I have a pipercross panel filter, Stage cooler spark plugs and the red Coil packs from Awesome. I had the plugs and coil packs fitted today.

I noticed In second gear my boost spike at 36psi!! Now this was read on the torque app on my samsung, I dont actaully have a proper boost guage installed.

Is this normal? Seemed pretty high to me!

Cheers
Lewis

I had the same thing with the torque app, spiked to around 34 psi! Fitted a boost gauge and was really boosting to 21!
There's some settings that need to be changed so it reads boost properly, best thing to do is just fit an actual boost gauge!

Ah yeah fair enough, I know how that feels! I just went for a cheapo Turbosamrt one from Awesome gti but there's one out there that matches the lcr dials really well, will try find it for you now!

As for a pod, most seem to go for a nomad pillar pod or the air vent pod, air vent is mad pricey about £90 from awesome iirc. I don't actually had a pod atm though lol kind of just lodged it between my dash and pillar, has not moved though so will do for now!

+1 to that mate, looks damn nice! Shame I've only got a LC though, must look sweet up against the LCR clocks!

My mate has one and my cousin had boost, oil temp and pressure in his leon and they were very good quality gauges that match the LCR clocks aswell so I have been after one for a while and when i see how cheap he was sellin them I couldn't turn down such a good deal bearing in mind there normally over £100. I think they do PSI reading and you can get different colour faces, black being one of them. best to ring and ask mate. but yeaa im really chuffed with it.

Torque app will give you boost pressure as atmospheric pressure. Boost gauges will give you gauge pressure.

So nothing for me to worry about then??

What torque seems to have tried to show (badly) is the limit of your map sensor... which can only read 2550mb absolute pressure... (1.55bar gauge)

It may well be boosting "higher"

fit an actual gauge to confirm is the answer.
