Ive had my head unit in me boot below the parsle shelf for a while , its bin doing me head in, as ive got to stop to change a cd , i want to put it in my glove box, anyone done this before if so have you any info or even better any pics. Any help would be , cheers everyone,
tht is goin no where , that is only the face of the unit , the rest is hidden under the black plastic bit in the passenger footwell. also if u look through the car window u only c the factory unit , so thy just walk on by. plus my windows are tinted so u cant c in anywasys
Seen a few car's cut the centre heater vent's out to fit a head unit, I helped my mate do it in his sport but it's too much work involved IMO looked good though
i will get sum more pics put up , na i removed all the pillars and sprayed them , the only hard bit was gettin the alcantara on the roof as i only had one shot at it other wise the factory stuff pulled of , so fun was had there , but its easy wen u strip the whole of the car out ,
Yeah i have seen one under the steering wheel and where the air vents are, they both look REALLY good
When i had my first cupra i was going to get my head unit put under the steering wheel but decided not to, had to sell the car anyway so good that i didnt do it, now i have another cupra and i think i will keep the normal stereo and CD changer as with a nice sub and amp its fantastic and does everything i need but everyone has their own opinion
IMHO the best and most practicle place by far is in the centre console........you know, where it should be if SEAT had given us a proper DIN sized H/U from the off.
how much did it cost to get it fitted there. how have you got the unit and facia in different places. guessing you fitted a new longer ribbon. how easy was it?
