007p'd my Leon but not very loud

Maybe the fact I am using the stock intake pipe is making it not sound as good? I will try a bigger bigger intake pipe to the filter and see if that makes a difference?

Also is it true that if you reverse mount the 007p it will be louder and not cause damage?

So I could just extend a pipe from the MAF sensor down to behind the bumper and sit the open cone filter down there?
