1.6i remapping

just wondering has anyone here had a 1.6i mapped and if so what did you get out of it and what was the cost?

Probably waste of money as wouldnt make any difference i imagine if they even do one for the 1.6 as its normaly aspirated with not much bhp from standard .

What SNAP-ON said......... i think the gains will only be about 15BHP and 20 torques, is it worth 200 notes for those gains?

I'd eat my hat if you got close to 15bhp on an N/A remap, more like 5bhp if that. Totally not worth it. The less reputable companies will just remap the throttle potentiometer curve so that you get more acceleration for less throttle pedal travel, making you think you have more power when you don't.

Grand! Just asking, she has been a little lag in taking off and not much accel through 2nd, turns out one of the breather pipes was bandaged in duck tape and had a hole burst through. Waiting on new pipe Thursday, he said that should bring the power back to normal.

I had the same with the Mrs' 1.6 Altea, pipes were split and taped up.

Replaced with new pipes at the weekend, and all running nice and smooth again

Also replaced the broken rear fog-light, and seat-belt buckle.

Just need to find a new glove-box lid now......
