1.6tdi cutting out (limp mode) help pls

Hi

Recently my altea xl 1.6 tdi has started to cut out and go into limp mode (glow plug symbol flashes on dash etc) whilst driving. The only thing I can link this too is when I put the window wipers on.

I noticed the other day when stationary that the revs dropped every time the wipers went across the screen.

Has anyone come across this issue before??

I have heard it could be a wiring fault??

Any ideas will be greatly received.

There is a thread about this on here if you use the search bar. I think the wiper arm rubs one of the looms. Might be a good place to start.
