1.8 tsi economy

Hi all,
Just wondering whats the best economy you been able to get with the 1.8? I done my monthly trip at the weekend ( visiting the parents) its a 200 mile trip each way and on the sunday i managed to average 45.7 mpg that includes driving 25 miles on the A1 where its still single carrigeway. Through 3 cities and about 4 sets of contraflow on the dueller. I know 45 doesnt sound a lot but its the best ive got for that trip in a while considering my fiesta used to be roughly 37mpg.

Normally I average 42/43 on mixed driving, had up to 46 with a few decent runs, so yours sounds about right.

Good numbers, mine are not that good, long term average is about 22 MPG (mostly in the city though), on long runs (1200 km in one day) I got 40 average. Might be my driving, might be the fuel quality, but usually I get quite high consumption.
