143 TDI CR - Timing Belt Change

Hello All & Apologies if this has been asked before.

My 2009 Exeo - a 143 TDI CR has clocked over 50k miles and I'm curious as to what the recommended schedule for changing the timing belt is?
On my 2002 Toledo I changed it at 55k, and the A4 I had before the Exeo I changed IT at 65K.

Any of you good folks have any suggestions?

To be honest you could ask 5 different people this same question and get 5 different answers! I posted this same question on here a few months ago after finding this on the official SEAT website:

As you can see in the first link above, despite my service book stating 130,000 miles with no time limit, the info from the SEAT website says that the cambelt change is due between 40,000 - 120,000 (according to model) with a maximum time duration of 4 years. Alternatively the second link just says 40,000 miles / 4 years. Other posters to my question at the time suggested that the information on the SEAT website refered only to the older PD generation of engines, however others replied that their dealers had recommended the 4 year service intervals as on the website. Thanks very much! Think its just going to be a case of ringing the dealer and finding out.

My guess is that the dealer will say "bend over and give me £299 for the privilege"

To be honest I was Expecting that as well!

Just had an answer back on the belt change intervals - 140k Miles or 4 Years - Whichever comes first.

(Thats just for the 2.0 TDI CR 143 - The service guy said the intervals may change model to model etc)

So thats a bit of a relief as I've already got a wedding to pay for, a house to buy and furnish this year!
