Hey peeps

I've decided on my new wheels - Audi RS6 alloys. Love em :D

But I'm stuck - do i do 18" or 19"??? From the tyre calculator online the 18" will be 3mm bigger in diameter to my current wheels (40 as opposed to 45 profile).
19" would be 6mm bigger (35 profile)

With my lowered car I'd assume that I won't have an issue, although car may need to be raised a tad?

What do u recon guys? 18" RS6's with GSD3's are about £680, or 19's would be second hand I recon (seen some about) for about £720 ish...

Lemme know ur thoughts!

And I'm broke. lol

Deffo go 18's. Rs6's are a good choice too. Can't wait to see em on your car.
I'm looking to upgrade my 17's for 18's now but looking for a bargin, cash is tight here too! :(

18's will NOT mess up acceleration or handling - the Cupra R has them as standard so don't see it affecting it in any noticable way at all.
19's I could understand, but bearing in mind the diameter is only 6mm bigger than 17, i still struggle to see how this would mess things up.

Anyway, I think its 18's for me :D

i havent noticed any difference, and ive gone from the std 16" cupra wheels to 18" rs6 replicas. so your step from 17" to 18" wont be as bad as that even.

35 profile is soooo low aswell, had them on my Focus and my teeth rattled over every pothole!

when i changed to 18 x 7.5 the ride changed loads... better handling but a bit less comfort. cant say i noticed any loss of power but the original wheels felt nippier if that makes sense. ( it would wheelspin quicker:rolleyes: )

18s suit the leon best imo

pabs i was saying the 19's will kill your acceleration not the 18's.

Yeah, no point spending money to make it faster, then spending more on wheels that will make it slower. If it doesn't get too much slower, you will want to drive slower to show off them wheels! [B)]
