Hi. just wondering if anyones done a coolant change on their diesel 184. Wondering the best way to go about it I.e. where to drain and anything tricky about the 184 I'd need to know before starting it. Also what type of coolant they use and the amount.

The cars just over 4 years old and I removed the silica bag a while ago in case it leaked. Getting to the point where this must be about due also probably need to do a brake fluid change soon too.

For VW / Audi, the coolant is ‘fill for life’ (I’m assuming Seat would be the same) so shouldn’t need changing, unless or until it’s necessary to replace any component parts of cooling system (e.g. radiator or a hose) that would require the existing coolant to be drained.

Brake fluid change intervals; the first change is due at 3 years, then every two years after that.

Cheers for the replies guys. Seems its overdue for a brake fluid change then. What I may do is do the brake fluid change and seeing as it's due for cam belt etc next year get the water pump done at the same time and get the coolant changed then.
