2.0tdi CR 170 buzzing sound

Evening all

I have a 2.0tdi CR fr supacopa, 19.000 miles on a 62 plate.

I have noticed only when the windows down that when driving along you can hear a buzzing sound from the front drivers side, it's not drive train as goes out of gear.

Don't affect driving or performance.

Any ideas please ??

Not sure if it's fitted to that model but if it is, it could be the soundacktor artificial sound thingy.

Never heard of that, is that a normal thing on these cars ?

I have a mk6 golf gt 2.0tdi and it does the same sound just not as loud.

No other ideas ?

I have noticed the same noise, put it down to wind making something vibrate unless someone has any other ideas lol.

Turn the radio up in the mean time sorts it, Getting wind deflectors next week curious to see if that sorts it

I too have noticed this, the only way I can describe it is like when you pedal fast on a push bike then stop pedalling lol

It sounds like what you're hearing is the electronic power steering.

Mine buzzes and it's the fuel pump. Dip the clutch and see if it stops for a split second.

Hpfp take cover off engine and you'll see where it's coming from all ok tho
