Recently obtained the above, clutch bite is on floor and judders a little getting into gear. Drives and selects all gears fine but a little crunch with first and reverse. Bled the clutch first, appears the previous owner may have rounded the nipple. The thing wouldn’t pressurise for toffee so changed the master and pressure bled it. Considerably better pedal but bite is still real low. Also first quarter of pedal travel is very light. I should probably change the slave too (luckily this engine it’s external) but if no bubbles in the bleed kit line then I presume the nipple isn’t leaking. What would be the next point of call. Starting in 5th or in gear with handbrake in stalls car instantly and I don’t think this has a DMF, if it does it isn’t making the noise some do. One last point, there’s a tiny spot of oil on the drive directly under where the clutch housing meets the engine. Please help

Hi mate, have you found out the issue yet? I'm having the exact problem in my mk2 cupra r.
saw on another forum on fb that it might need a new clutch master cylinder and a clutch slave cylinder.

Swapped both the master and the slave and changed fluid and vacuum bled. Pedal actually does something now but still needs more travel to completely disengage clutch. Considering it doesn’t slip , there’s oil leaking from the clutch and there’s an odd feeling in the clutch pedal when your foot is on it I’m swaying towards flywheel now. Having an actual mechanic look at it soon
