My original turbo has developed an exhaust leak through the VNT rod seal and I'm suspicious its seals are also knackered as the oil consumption has increased, I hope!
I'm not keen on shelling out for a new turbo in case the oil consumption is due to valve seals or rings so I'm looking at used reconditioned parts.yy
Apparently the OEM turbo for the Leon is a 03G253010A, which are rather hard to come by. There are many 03G253019N variants available. ETKA identifies it as an A3 turbo however parts sites show them as compatible. Looking at Google photos is like a russian roulette of different parts.
Anyone has some practical knowledge about these parts and if they're indeed compatible or if some adaptations are needed in order to fit a 03G253019N on a Leon?
