my Ibiza Cupra TDi 2004, went in cause it had a fault on the ABS, i got no courtesy car or nothing, they reckon the part is on back order and cant get a new ABS Module, is this possible that a part from a huge car manufacter could be out of stock for so long? or are they just taking the piss, they will have had it 5 weeks tomorrow

Had a similar problem with a Toledo few years ago - although it was not that part. I needed the car for work (it was only 1 1/2 years old if that) - make them take the part off a stock car. 5 weeks takes the p1ss.

I had an AA courtesy car for 48 hours then had to wait...

In my book that is unacceptable, i'd be in the dealers demanding a courtesy car and kicking up stink. Phone seat UK, they are actually quite helpfull and will get you a courtesy car and will pressure the dealership to get this matter sorted pronto. Dealers will aways try to take the piss as long as they think they can.

Thats not good, especially that they haven't provided you with a Courtesy Car which if your car is under warranty, they should be under obligation to provide you with one. The dealer must be loving it though, as they can claim for 'loss of use' on a courtesy car, from SEAT Warranty dept, who give an allowance, which can usually expected to be around £25 per day! I'd be getting on to them mate!
With regards to having the car for five weeks, this sounds quite normal if a part goes on back-order... it means they are awainting for a new batch of the parts to be built!

Good luck sorting it though! ;)
