6L Ibiza Start Up Issue

I've noticed when I'm starting the car in the past three weeks it idles at 1200RPM for a few minutes and makes a loud whirring noise (almost sounds electrical) and then suddenly stop and goes back to normal. The ECT Sensor has been replaced with the revised improvement (Genuine OEM) as I know this is a common issue - this didn't fix it. Anyone have any idea or experienced the same thing? The car still boosts fine and everything, just on idle.

Cheers for the reply and I do mate yeah. I’ve seen this a few times, is it a common issue?
Yes it is
The pump can be "leaking" after a few years (that's what happened to me and my brother in both of our Ibizas.
It results in a loud kind of whistle noise until the pump stops working on cold starts.
Is that what happens to you?
Try disconnecting the pump's connector and see if the noise still exists.

That’s a pain for you both! Hahah where abouts is the pump/connector located? and does a management light show if disconnected?
Thanks 👍🏻

Nah it's not a pain the pump was deleted a long time ago :)
Do you know to locate the pump in the engine bay?
If you do than the connector is right on the pump from it's back side.
And yes it turns on the check engine light if disconnected, but not immediately most of the times.
disconnect it just to make sure the sound really comes from the pump.

Sorry for the late reply mate. I’ve just been getting it through it’s MOT and doing bits and bats. It’s not done it for a while but I will do it at some point.
Cheers
