Hi,

Does anyone have a picture of the 8" central display screen? Any I find online appear to be the 10" version... Reason I ask is that I've been offered a good deal on a 1.5 FR but it only has the 8" screen and I was wondering if it's livable with.

Or perhaps, someone might know if it's possible to retrofit the 10" - what would be involved?

Cheers

Things may be different in Ireland.

Regarding images of the 8" screen - if you go to the Seat Germany site, you can configure a base model Leon with the basic infotainment system. It actually has 2 huge advantages over the larger screen- volume and tuning knobs, and physical shortcut buttons beneath the screen!

Yep, the FR comes with the smaller screen by default here.

Here's a picture of it from the German brochure, thanks vc-10

I do wonder if in a few years time we'll see the 10" screen gaining those hard buttons... I certainly hope so. As much as I love my Ibiza, the hard buttons beside the radio on my Fabia were so much better than the capacitive ones on the Ibiza. The loss of climate control buttons is a big negative for the new Leon, Golf, ID3 etc.

And here to answer my own question... The 8" is perfectly usable, it's the same size as the screen on the Mk3. No Nav or Voice though of course.

No offence. I tested the new Leon and with one single touch I am in the climate menu, or I can even set Auto and temp without touching anything... I like it to be simple... just look at this crap :) ... do you miss this :) ? cmon let's be honest, it is quite good and roomy.
