AC recirculation and wipers after restart

Have a bit of a weird problem that I'm hoping isn't intended and is an easy fix, both after starting/restarting the car so maybe related.

First one is the wipers will not work if I leave them on. If it's raining, put them on, park up with them still set to on, when I get back in they won't wipe unless I turn them off and on again?

Second one is the air recirculation, I thought it was supposed to remember the last setting but without fail it will always be off when getting in.

Any ideas for these?

Both are working as intended by the software unfortunately. The wipers not coming back on after you restart is potentially a good thing as they could automatically come on if the windscreen has frozen overnight and cause damage!

You only really want air recirc on when you are trying to heat the car up from cold.

The rest of the time you are better keeping it off as it fogs up the windows.
