To cut a long story short a tree fell on my car on Friday and the insurance are coming to collect it on Wednesday, i have a cone air filter fitted and a FMIC but neither are declared on my insurance. The FM doesn't bother me as it's not that obvious but i'm a bit worried about the cone as it's the first thing you see when you lift the bonnet, will the insurance company refuse my claim because of it, and if so has any one got a spare air box i can borrow.

Erm, I imagine most insurance company's will use any excuse to void any claim they can (excuse my cynacism...).

It's a very awkward subject dude (hence the lack of replies i feel) - the short version being 'Why not declare them in the first place?' and the possible irresponsibility had someone been injured in an accident involving your car, etc, etc.

Buy a standard air filter - Fit old intercooler - edit post on here - declare modifications from now on - don't get your insurance cancelled - do not pass go.
