Airbag warning!!

The other day I started the car and the airbag light stayed on. Switched car off again and left it a few seconds and restarted....hey presto....still on This went on for a few hours using the car in town.

Anyway, while later used the car again and all is fine, operating as normal. Seeing as I have no knowledge of all things electrical i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas....

...should I get it checked? it's odd as it's never happened before or since, wondering if there is a dodgy sensor somewhere, or loose wire...?

Any advice appreciated.

The switch in the glovebox for turning off the passsenger airbag can sometimes cause a sporadic fault as the terminals sometimes become poorly connected your dealer should be aware of this.

get it checked out asap imo.

use vag com or go to a local dealer... ur under warranty so no problems there!


i know on my 05 LCR its ok to check the air bags with vag com, but make sure u check urs is ok as i know with a few odd cars its risky using vag com to open up the control module as it can leave the light on the dash on permanently!

It's still in warranty like you say so I'll probably get it in dealer ASAP.
