Went and bought a Sub with built in amp these are the details:

1700 WATT MAX
450 WATT RMS
92 db/W/m
STEELBASKET
4-layer ASV
40 x 30 x 35 cm
4 Ohm Impedance
Frequ. Response 50 Hz - 250 Hz

what amplifier wiring kit should I get? I know a wee bit about the different size cables etc but don't want to buy wrong one

Also behind the stand aura CD player will I have to get Y connector for RCA cables so I can listen to music through door speakers as well

You will get a lot better quality if you swop your head unit to a sub per out unit instead of using the y connector to gain RCA outputs, this idea certainly works but not to the best if you like clear quality....
