How long did it take for your friend to do it? Was it doable within the day or? Did you or your friend take off the turbo?

Can't argue with £170 that's quite a nice little price, what exactly is a new cartridge?

He did the turbo within the day , he's a turbo specialist , that's all he does , cartridge is basically all the internals on the turbo , both impellers , shaft , bearings, seals , all balanced up , so a new turbo inside the existing housings ,

I took just the turbo to him and left it with him, bit pain getting turbo off as there's not much room to work lol, I'm glad it's fixed. And running sweet again now tho

That's pretty sweet, I am after getting a Revive treatment done to my turbo, it's a VNT turbo and I can't say I know how to take it off, but if that doesn't work my other choice is to have it mechanically cleaned (which is what your mate did I believe?)

For your friend to mechanically clean mine how much would it cost me? I was told the vane is OK for opening but closes slowly, so not 100% sure why it is closing slowly, either full of crap or the actuator?

What was wrong with yours?

The shaft and hot side impeller had. Decided to have a holiday from the turbo and fell out into the exhaust lol,

Tbh with regards to price you'd have to speak to him and let him diagnose what's at fault and what needs replacing buddy

Haha sounds like it had one holiday indeed! :O

Can I be cheeky and ask you to point me in your friends direction so I could ask him concerning my turbo at all please? I'd definitely like to get it sorted out that way I can put my thoughts on other things in to perspective hehe! :D
