Anybody that can help?

I’ve bought a new cone air filter for my 1.4 tsi. Attempted to remove the air box but there is a rubber pipe attached to the top of it. Anyone know what this does? If I take the air box out and attach the new cone filter I have nothing to plug this “pipe” into. I have no pics which doesn’t help.

It’s a breather pipe from the crankcase , you will need to buy a breather filter to attach to it
