Hi all,

I have fitted a catch can kit from creation motorsports just yesterday as had a Split in the system. Done a coolant flush at same time.

Ran car to bring to temp and Che k the coolant way glowing correctly, which all was good. Car was running for about 25 minutes just to ticking over. Went and check my catch can and it was half full already.

Why would catch can Be half full so quickly? Is something wrong? Am I missing something here?

Any help would be much appreciated thanks

How have you plumbed it in? Have you got any pics? Half full after 25 mins sounds a bit excessive

Would it make any difference to which is in/out on catch can. It's a creation motorsports catch can.

Cheers

It looks like the pipes are the wrong way round on the can. The in pipe has the baffled section under it. I think that should be the left side on your can.

Cheers mate will get round to that tomorrow see how it gets on.

You have any other idea why it would fill up so quickly at all?

Thanks

Oops, I just looked up your catch can and it seems to be correct as it is!
Not sure why you have so much filling it.
It's plumbed in the same as mine but my can is on the air filter heatshield, so it sits a bit lower. I'm sure I've seen other mounted where yours is though without issue.
Hopefully someone else will see this and can help

When you took the rocker cover off to paint it did you put the plastic baffles back over the cams?

I'm sure I did as had it all on a big tray so I didn't miss anything. Would this cause my problem? Could it be that I've not put plastic baffle on right that's caused this?

It’s possible it’ll breath heavier without those baffles over the cams. I could be wrong but just thing to narrow the cause down for now.

Something else I’d do take off that hockey puck and fit the pipe straight to the intake and then run the car again for the same time and see if it still fills up the catch up. If it doesn’t then it’ll show the puck isn’t letting air pressure pass as it should and it’s all backing up in the can. If it still does it then that’s another thing crossed off the list.

As Mamic said try and keep the can as high as you can (within reason ) on mine the inlet/outlet is just about an inch above the tip.
