IS it a place in huddersfield? Holmfirth to be exact.

I looked at two LCR's there, and they weren't the tidiest ones I'd seen.

Tbh I bought mine from there
And asked him to get the temp Hague working when I picked it up he hadn't so ended up doing that myself also fixing a boost leak tbh probably wouldn't deal with him again

hi just thought id clear a few things up i own dubbers sports vws and im not sure if some people are getting us mixed up with another company-we are based in slaithwaite not holmfirth-we do and always have offered part exchange on any car--our cars are already moted prior to going on sale so there is no way of us ever saying we would take the mot or tax off the car-all our cars are fully inspected prior to sale by our dealer trained staff-with regards to the commet on the faulty temp gauge it would of been looked at and working when the vehilce left us if the fault re appeared all you had to do was bring it back to us and we would of looked at it again-hope this clears a few things up-we dont bite and any one is welcome to come and visit us book a test drive and decide for your selves thanks pete

Tbh I think if he has been confused for another garage then you should all say sorry :p or I'll tell mork :harhar: lol

@pete can I just ask about the limited pictures on your site?? Seems odd to only have one or two pics or a car  but I didn't look through the whole listing just a few ;) and it's just a general question :)

Bought my Cupra R off ebay 50000k miles already remapped with a forge dv and extra's serviced it on the day for me and it had a full service history. The guy I bought it from was a VW tecnician in edgerton exeter. Picked it up from the VW garage and paid just £4900 cash. Had in 6 months havent had any problems with it apart from front pads needed changing.

we only put a few photos on the website as we find if we put lots on the pages take a long time to load-we normally have 9 pictures of our cars on autotrader and up to 20 on our ebay adds-if any one wants any more pictures they normally email us and we send them more thanks pete

mate bought an LCR off these guys a couple of weeks ago, drove 2.5 hours to pick it up, by the time it was home the turbo was leaking oil and burning (could see the smoke in engine bay) took it back for repair under the warranty, they said they had fixed it (aswell as power steering pump) asked him to to the 5 hour round trip to collect it, got home and still exactly the same, has since took it back AGAIN to get his money back.

really poor service if im honest, they were just messing him about. If the turbo is broke and its under warranty either fix it or says its broke, dont pretend to fix it and make somebody drive 200 miles thinking they wont notice hoping they will take a lemon off your hands for good money. the state of the car isnt what he is annoyed at, spending 350quid on fuel and him having to take days off work + his family days off work to get him there has pissed him off.

personaly opinion, avoid at all costs.

(apologies if i have confused you with the other similar company but im 99% sure i havnt)

pete, did you have an octavia WRC edition (un stickered) in about a year ago? I came in to look at an LCR and your garage is near a bridge iirc.

Are you the place I'm thinking of?

as what normally happens on forums information is from a 3rd party and so not always accurate-we did suppy the leon cupra r to your friend in leicester (90 miles away) and who advised us he is a fully qualified mechanic and had been since leaveing school-as with all our cars we advised we can provide a warranty through dealer warranty direct (which can be used at any vat reg garage)he didnt want this and so instead we knocked some money off the car-after a few days he rang to advise us the car was leaking power steering fluid and has a slight oil leak-we immediately advised him if he brought it back to us we would repair free of charge (or as we have accounts with seat advised if he didnt want to drive 90 miles back to us we would book the parts out at his local dealer he could collect and fit him self)he decided to bring the car back to us the next day (to avoid him having to take time off work we advised him that he could bring the car on a evening after work or on a weekend and we could also drop and collect him from the station as to cause as little inconvenience as possible-the car was returned to us a new power steering pipe was fitted the engine was steamed and a new cam gasket fitted the car was then left running for few hours and no further leaks were found-unfortunately after the collecting the car again and returning home the customer noticed another small leak (which turned out to be a seal/washer on the oil feed pipe)this was dripping on the hot exhaust hence the very slight smokeing from the engine-we then gave the customer the option for us to again repair the car or offer a full refund-
we are of course very unhappy that the customer found some faults with the car after owning for such a short time but apart from offering to repair the car free of charge or offer a full refund i feel there is nothing else we could of done-every car that leaves our premises has a full pdi service prior to going on sale by dealer trained staff but as in this case we are dealing with a 8 year oldcar and so as im sure most people have found out at some point cars can develop faults at any time and as in this case we tried our best to solve the problem with as little inconvenience as possible thanks pete

You make it sound like he found a new leak the second time he picked it up, it was the exact same one he reported, seen with my own eyes before it came back to you.not getting into a slagging match on here just advising his poor experience with you guys.
