Anyone done this before?

Had this idea for awhile and spent the last week getting my grill surround and badge to this stage!

Shitty pictures but thought some of you fellow mk4 ibiza lot may find it interesting!

might have a bash at a couple more bits when i have the spare cash for the carbon stuff!

thanks guys, your kind words are appreciated as it took me along time. entered the task blind so im happy with how it looks!

and cheers fl@pper, going to do my spare b pillar trims hopefully at some stage and buy the carbon wing mirror caps that are available. Just funds at the mo!

is that carbon wrap ? been looking at all the missing 'black' stuff on mine and considering same just not got the patience

its stickyback carbon fibre with a clear gel sort of coating on it, just stick it on and cut around the edges sort of thing, then just sanded all the edges then lacquered it all up. Proper carbon fibre too so looks good.

thats the stuff, theres the 21 quid one which is just half as much as that and thats been enough to do the front badge and grill surround, did the rear badge too but they got abit stuck with some of it so pulled it all off, then still enough left over to try again so its not too costly

looked at that many a time fantasizing haha never dared buy it and give it a go, might measure how much ill need for the b pillars when they arrive and do them in that if theres enough!

That looks amazing fair play mate, I really like that! Just bought a cupra bumper and the grille and foglight bezels are anthracite, but the rest of the plastics are black. Do I paint it all black or anthracite to all match?

and cheers for comments! reckon the stereo etc woud be possible like, quite tricky though maybe + wouldnt like to sand and lacquer the cd player or climate control icase it fooked them up. Got some b pillar trims arriving from ted johnsons soon so might order a proper skinning kit to do them and have a bash!

I did this bout half a year ago (not real carbon though just the crappy film stuff) also did the black bits by the rear window and door and rear 's', ended up keeping it on for a few weeks but looked shite so got them sprayed matt black.
